Finally an update.

It all began with that monthly duty we are all so familiar with.
Bills vs. Income
Since my daughter Jessica (who I stay with while back home visiting) is sleeping (she works nights) I decided to go in my room and be quite.

It's typical Juneau weather outside (RAIN)

I decided to swim over and see my youngest Ashleigh

and my two youngest Granddaughters
RUBY

and Imogen.
But alas, Imogen was asleep and she was putting Ruby down and headed for a nice hot bath

So, back to my room to pay bills.
I started listening to "my" music and my thoughts began tripping down memory lane.
My daughter and her family in Montana.
They just started their own business and like any parent I worry about them.
Samantha began 5th grade this week.

Taylor will begin Pre-school soon but right now still goes to her favorite place Bambi's.

and the music plays, and I continue to trip down that street called Nostalgia.
And that is why I sit here with tears streaming down my craggy face and running into my grey beard.
I'm really not sad, just emotional for some unknown reason.

I spent a month in May and June in Montana watching Samantha and Taylor whilest Amanda and Jason was working towards the opening of "Dragon Food Distributors"

We took a lot of day trips and had a fun time.
Some days were riding the carousel in Missoula going round, and round, and round.

Some days in the Jeep exploring dirt roads in the mountains.

The river, the mountains, the highway and byways. We had a fun month.

Then Sammie and I came to Alaska for 5 weeks.
Did some fishing, hiking, visiting, and we both got to meet little Imogen (though I actually met her the first week after she was born)

Then Amanda & Taylor came out for a week. It was fun the girls all had fun seeing each other and meeting the new one.

Got some Daddy-do projects done.

All in all a great summer.

Leaving mid-Sept for Montana.
Then south for the winter, at least for the RV. I'll be coming back to visit a few months this winter.

Back to the music and traipsing down memory lane.

January 5, 2005
My shop in Haines and my Corvette that I had just spent 3 years rebuilding from the ground up.

And a good reminder with winter coming on.
